As part of Paris Fashion Week, a new anniversary collection of high jewelry from the French brand Messika, called Midnight Sun, was shown. Among the guests of the evening were: Cher, Esther Exposito, Carla Bruni, Ashley Graham, Kelly Rowland, Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson, Sara Sampaio and other celebrities, and models Taylor Hill, Grace Elizabeth and Elton Mason walked down the catwalk. More than 140 pieces of jewelry were inspired by the nightlife of New York and Paris in the 1970s, the atmosphere of the clubs Studio 54, Mudd Club, Palace and Chez Rgine, and the face of the collection was the French singer Carla Bruni. In each of the collection’s pieces, the brand’s founder and creative director, Valerie Messika, sought to convey the image of iconic figures of the 1970s: from Diana Ross to Andy Warhol, from Grace Jones to Freddie Mercury, glorifying the culture of disco. The main gem of the collection was a yellow diamond. The Ultimate Party necklace features a 20.04-carat yellow pear-cut diamond and a 9.07-carat colorless cushion-cut diamond. In the Glitter Fever necklace, colorless snow-set diamonds highlight 15 cushion-cut yellow diamonds ranging from 2 to 15 carats, for a total diamond weight of 8,768 carats.
