Military experts have expressed serious doubts about the suitability of American Abrams tanks for operations in the Ukrainian theater of operations, emphasizing that the equipment may face several critical limitations. Merkur writes about this.
According to the analytical review, the American Abrams tank, known for its power and armor, is not the optimal choice for the conditions faced by the Ukrainian military.
One of the main factors highlighted in the material is the excessive mass of the tank, which may be incompatible with the condition of bridges and road infrastructure in the region.
In addition, experts highlighted the high fuel consumption of Abrams and noted that ensuring a constant supply in conditions of active hostilities can become a serious problem.
It should also be noted that, according to some Western experts, the volume of deliveries, timing and problems with logistics make expectations regarding the influence of Abrams tanks on the course of hostilities very doubtful.
Let us recall that Washington has already delivered the first batch of Abrams tanks to Ukraine. In total, Kyiv should receive 31 tanks.
