Together with the Avtodom plant, it also received a leasing subsidiary, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Rus, as well as a subsidiary bank, Mercedes-Benz Bank Rus, and a company that was engaged in leasing, factoring and car insurance, Mercedes-Benz Capital Rus “. In addition, the dealer received the right to carry out maintenance of cars of this brand – both warranty and post-warranty.
On April 19, Interfax, citing data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, reported that Avtodom bought the Russian assets of Mercedes-Benz, including a plant in the Moscow region. According to the agency, the deal was closed on April 18. Avtodom clarified that the deal had not yet been closed at that time. The amount of the transaction was not specified. Mercedes launched a plant located in the Esipovo industrial park (Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region) on April 3, 2019. The declared investment amounted to at least 15 billion rubles. The plant is designed to produce 25,000-30,000 premium cars per year. The production site has been idle since the beginning of March.
