The loss of a nuclear power in a conventional conflict can lead to the outbreak of a nuclear war, declared Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel.

Medvedev pointed out that on January 20, at the American Ramstein air base in Germany, Ukraine’s allies would discuss further assistance to Kyiv, despite the fact that the same issue was also discussed at the economic forum in Davos. At the same time, Western countries are guided by the principle “To achieve peace, Russia must lose,” he said.

“And it never occurs to any of the poor to draw the following elementary conclusion from this: the loss of a nuclear power in a conventional war can provoke the outbreak of a nuclear war. The nuclear powers have not lost major conflicts on which their fate depends,” Medvedev wrote.
