Medvedev urged to destroy Ukrainian saboteurs “like rats”

Ukrainian saboteurs who penetrated the Belgorod region should be destroyed “like rats”, they do not even need to be taken prisoner. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

“As for these scumbags – I can’t name them otherwise – you can characterize them in different ways. The only question is what to do with them. They just need to be destroyed like rats and not even taken prisoner, ”he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).

Medvedev also called “absolute lies” Kyiv’s statement that it was not involved in the attack on the Russian border region. He stressed that the Kiev regime, as well as “its sponsors” in the US, UK and EU, are responsible for what happened.

On May 22, a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the territory of the Graivoronsky district of the Belgorod region. The armed forces of the Russian Federation, together with the border service, the National Guard and the FSB, are taking the necessary measures to eliminate the enemy. As a result of the attack, the number of victims increased to 12 people, informed earlier today, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

In the Belgorod region introduced counter-terrorist operation. According to Gladkov, now continues cleaning up the territory from Ukrainian saboteurs.

In the Kremlin tied up the attack of Ukrainian saboteurs on the Belgorod region with the desire of Kyiv to minimize the political effect of the loss of the Armed Forces of Artemovsk. Earlier today, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov declaredthat the members of the Ukrainian DRG who entered the territory of Russia are Ukrainian militants.

He did not disclose the number of saboteurs and their identity. Saboteurs opened fire on a car in the village of Lubechan. As a result, two people died. Later, the FSB reported that the members of the DRG were “squeezed out” into the territory of Ukraine, where they were subjected to a massive artillery strike. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the Bryansk region a terrorist act.
