The Ukrainian military, who shot the captured Russian military personnel, deserve only the “death penalty” on the principle of “life for life”, wrote Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel.
According to him, criminal punishment consists of two elements: punishment, on the one hand, and conditions for the correction and re-education of the guilty person, on the other.
“Only the death penalty is a pure punishment for obvious reasons. According to the principle of “life for life”, known since the Old Testament times. The Ukrainian bastards who shot Russian servicemen should not suffer any other punishment, except for what is pure punishment. Even if it takes a year to find them,” the politician wrote.
Earlier today, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, also demanded that international organizations condemn the execution of Russian prisoners. “All those responsible and involved in the crimes will be identified and will suffer the punishment they deserve,” the diplomat said.
Earlier, two videos appeared on Telegram channels, which allegedly depicted the execution of Russian prisoners of war by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry called these shots a confirmation of the “knuckle-blowing essence of the current Kyiv regime.” The department stressed that this case is not the first war crime committed against Russian prisoners of war.
