Medvedev: Poland will disappear in case of war between Russia and NATO

If there is a direct clash between Russia and NATO, then Poland will disappear, given its role as NATO’s outpost in Europe. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in an English-language Twitter account, commenting on the words of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“I don’t know who wins or loses in such a war, but given the role of Poland as an outpost of NATO in Europe, this country will definitely disappear along with its stupid prime minister,” he said.

Earlier today, April 14, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with NBC declaredthat the fighting in Ukraine could last for several more years. In addition, in his opinion, Ukraine’s strikes on Russian territory “do not violate any international agreements,” since Kyiv is conducting defensive actions.

When asked by an NBC reporter about the possibility of an expansion of the conflict in Ukraine, Morawiecki said that he was not worried about such a scenario, since it would mean “a war between NATO and Russia, which Russia will lose very quickly.” The Polish prime minister emphasized that now the NATO countries are not a party to the conflict in Ukraine, but only provide Kyiv with military and financial assistance.

Prior to this, Medvedev also predicted the disappearance of Ukraine. According to him, neither Europe, nor the United States, nor Russia, nor its own citizens need this country. The politician also pointed to the “artificiality” of the formation of the state and called it “a misunderstanding generated by the collapse of the USSR.” Earlier today Medvedev declaredthat as soon as the West stops funding Ukraine, not only hostilities will end, but Ukraine itself.
