Medvedev: negotiations can begin after the West recognizes existing realities

To begin peace negotiations on Ukraine, it is necessary for the West to recognize existing realities. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev during a meeting with military personnel.
Medvedev drew attention to signs that indicate that “the West is running out of steam.” According to him, financing a foreign country outrages a significant part of the population of Europe and the United States. The West’s task is to “push through a negotiation process” that would weaken Russia and contribute to the accumulation of “the strength of our enemy.”
“We don’t need such negotiations. They are simply harmful. Despite the fact that Russia has never abandoned the negotiations themselves as an instrument – our president has spoken about this more than once. The question is what are we talking about, from what point do we start. And the point here is very simple – we must recognize the realities,” Medvedev summed up.
