Medvedev invited Musk to visit Artemovsk

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev invited SpaceX founder and Twitter owner Elon Musk to visit Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut).
“Elon Musk, you asked me about Bakhmut… Come and see for yourself,” Medvedev replied to the entrepreneur’s message last year.
In the fall of 2022, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council commented on the resignation of British Prime Minister Liz Truss. “Bye bye Liz Truss, congratulations lettuce,” Medvedev said in a statement.
After that, Musk, appreciating the joke, asked Medvedev “how are things” with the Russian forces in Bakhmut.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet officially confirmed the information about the complete capture of Artemovsk. At the same time, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, previously informedwhich initiated the establishment of state awards of the republic for the capture of the city.
The battles for Artemovsk have been going on for several months now. On May 15, the Ministry of Defense announced that in the Donetsk direction, the most fierce fighting continues on the western outskirts of Artemovsk and in the area of the settlement of Krasnoye DPR. On the same day, Pushilin noted that Russian forces had taken the key heights of Artemovsk. At the end of April, the founder of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that 58,000 sq. m of the city.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia. Since October 19 last year, martial law has been introduced in the regions.
