Medvedev congratulated Russians on the anniversary of the annexation of new regions

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, congratulating Russians on the anniversary of the annexation of new regions, said that the military operation in Ukraine will continue until the “complete destruction of the Kyiv regime.” Also, in his opinion, as a result of the North Eastern Military District, there will be even more new regions within Russia.

“The special military operation will continue until the Nazi Kyiv regime is completely destroyed and the original Russian territories are liberated from the enemy. Victory will be ours. And there will be more new regions within Russia,” Mr. Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the annexation of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia became “a symbol not only of the restoration of historical justice, but also of the unity of the Russian people, their colossal will and dedication.”

Previously, the State Duma approved A bill introduced into parliament by Russian President Vladimir Putin establishing September 30 as the Day of Reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia.

The DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were annexed by Russia on September 30, 2022 based on the results of referendums. Ukraine, as well as a number of Western countries, did not recognize the territorial changes and condemned them, calling them annexation. Parts of the territories of these regions currently remain under the control of Ukrainian troops, including the cities of Kherson and Zaporozhye.
