Medvedev commented on the material in Die Welt about the Ukrainian counteroffensive

The defeat of the “Kyiv regime” will be the same as in Stalingrad, wrote Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, on his Telegram channel. Thus, he commented on the material of the Die Welt publication, the author of which compares a possible Ukrainian counteroffensive with the German offensive on the Kursk Bulge.

“German journalists from Die Welt directly urge the head of the Ukrainian Nazis not to repeat the mistakes of the German Fuhrer that were committed near Stalingrad. Sincere people: they finally realized that this actor is a real proven fascist, the true heir of the National Socialists of Germany,” Medvedev wrote.

He pointed out that the defeat of “his regime” would be the same as in Stalingrad.

Ukraine announces a counteroffensive from the winter. On March 10, adviser to the head of the country’s presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa, said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin within the next two months. On April 17, the American magazine Newsweek, citing secret documents leaked to the network, reported that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin on April 30, after the completion of the supply of Western weapons.

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals.
