Medvedev called the use of NGOs the favorite method of fighting in hybrid wars with Russia

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev believes that the use of non-profit organizations (NPOs) in hybrid wars is a favorite method of some countries hostile to Russia. He urged to stop the activities of such organizations.
“We know that the favorite method of our enemies – of all sorts – is to use NPOs in hybrid wars. Create organizations under decorous signs that actually seek to shake up the situation in the country and undermine stability in civil society. We observed this in a lot of examples, ”he said during a speech at the board of the Ministry of Justice (TASS quote).
Previously, representatives of NGOs repeatedly declared about the difficulties in working in Russia, in particular after the adoption of the law on foreign agents, which deprived many non-profit organizations of charitable donations from abroad. As of April 2022, the Ministry of Justice closed 15 representative offices of foreign NGOs.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, Transparency International, “acting as an organization fighting corruption around the world”, “interfered in the internal affairs” of Russia, posing a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order and the security of the country. Yesterday, March 16, the Russian division of the organization “Transparency International – R” (recognized as a foreign agent) announced on the liquidation of a legal entity.
