Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev praised the leadership of the USSR for maintaining a powerful nuclear potential in the Russian Federation.
According to him, after the collapse of the USSR, Russia faced the rise of separatism, but, however, the country’s authorities “did not allow the most powerful nuclear potential to be pulled apart.”
“At the cost of incredible efforts, Russia gradually overcame the most difficult times. It forced to reckon with itself at the international level, fully paid off its external debt, and began to restore the economy and the social sphere,” Medvedev added.
