Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev published a post on his Telegram channel, in which he said that the refusal of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to negotiate allows Russia to avoid compromises and “finish all the work to the end.”
The day before Time magazine named Vladimir Zelensky man of the year. In his publication, Dmitry Medvedev for the first time wrote the name of the Ukrainian president with a lowercase letter and suggested that “not biased Western magazines, but our mass media, pay special attention” to Mr. Zelensky for refusing to negotiate.
“Thanks to this, Russia will complete all the work to the end without unnecessary questions, without exchanging for unnecessary compromises,” Mr. Medvedev wrote.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine emphasized that he “did not close the door” for negotiations with Russia and was ready to contact its representatives who would not be associated with the current Russian leadership. On September 30, Mr. Zelensky announced that Ukraine refuses to negotiate with Russia as long as Vladimir Putin is its president.
