Medvedev announced the key role of the United States in the conflict between Israel and Palestine

The United States is a key player in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, but instead of resolving it, Washington is pitting Russia and Ukraine against each other, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in his Telegram channel.

“The outbreak of fighting between Hamas and Israel on the 50th anniversary of the start of the Yom Kippur War is an event that could have been expected. This is what Washington and its allies had to do. The conflict between Israel and Palestine has been going on for decades. And the US is a key player there,” wrote He.

According to Medvedev, the United States, instead of working on a Palestinian-Israeli settlement, “came in with us and is helping neo-Nazis with all its might, pushing two close peoples into conflict.” Only a civil war on US territory can stop Washington in its passion for inciting conflicts “everywhere on the planet,” Medvedev suggested.

The attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on southern Israel began on the morning of October 7. The leader of the military wing, Mohammed al-Deif, announced the start of a “military operation” against Israel called “Al-Aqsa Flood” at around 9:30. He accused the Israeli side of occupying and repeatedly invading the Al-Aqsa Mosque. According to him, more than 5,000 unguided rockets and shells have already been fired at Israeli positions.

At approximately 10:40, the IDF announced a military response, Operation Iron Swords. Israeli aviation and artillery began striking the Gaza Strip even before the official announcement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu statedthat Israel was at war and promised that the enemy would “pay the price.”
