Medvedev announced the inevitability of the defeat of the West in Ukraine

Western countries will inevitably be defeated in Ukraine, because for them it is a “foreign war”, declared Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the West will not harm its own interests “too much”, so the conflict will sooner or later become boring, costly and irrelevant.
“For them, this is a foreign war, in which people who are strangers to them are dying … But for us, this is a tragedy involving our people. This is an existential conflict. War for self-preservation. Either they or we,” Medvedev wrote.
Therefore, the elites of Western countries, he believes, “will get tired and will beg” to freeze the conflict and negotiate. Russia, Medvedev stressed, must not stop until “not even ashes remain” from the Kyiv regime.
“If it takes years and even decades, then so be it. We have no choice: either we will destroy their hostile political regime, or the collective West will eventually tear Russia to pieces. And in this case, he will perish with us,” Medvedev said.
Russia, according to him, can only be satisfied with the complete dismantling of the Ukrainian state machine and “absolute guarantees of loyalty.” The same can only be achieved if Moscow gains control over “everything that is happening and will happen in the territories of the former Bandera state.”
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia.
In June of this year, Putin, at a meeting with military commanders, said that the goals of the special operation are changing in accordance with the current situation, but in general they remain the same, bearing a fundamental character.
