Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that enterprises of the military-industrial complex (OPK) are facing a shortage of personnel. He said this at a meeting of the program commission of the United Russia party, of which he is chairman.
The meeting discussed, in particular, ways to financially support the implementation of the EP people’s program in 2024-2026. According to Mr. Medvedev, this program should take into account the needs of defense enterprises, among other things.
“There are separate areas, for example, relating to attracting personnel to defense enterprises. … Yes, they received large orders and they do not always have the necessary personnel to fulfill these orders. … Therefore, I propose to discuss the implementation of this instruction, which concerned the material and technical base of the enterprises themselves, the search for personnel for our enterprises, including the training of personnel on the basis of secondary technical educational institutions, ”said the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council (quoted from “RIA News”).
March 14 Russian President Vladimir Putin lamented the fact that the lack of highly qualified specialists at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex affects the timing of the implementation of the state defense order.
Yesterday, on July 18, a meeting of the Coordinating Council for the Support of the Armed Forces (AF) was held. The Council, in particular, plans to help organizations of the military-industrial complex with personnel – with technical staff and with specialized specialists.
