Medvedev allowed the destruction of NATO peacekeepers when they were sent to Ukraine

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that NATO peacekeepers, if sent to Ukraine, are going to unleash “the very Third World War, which is so feared in words.” According to him, they will become a legitimate target of the Russian army and can be destroyed.

“Their true intentions are clear – to establish a favorable peace on the line of contact from a position of strength. Bring your “peacekeeping” troops into Ukraine with machine guns and tanks, in some blue helmets with yellow stars <...> It is clear that the so-called NATO peacekeepers are simply going to enter the conflict on the side of our enemies. <...> Unleash the very Third World War, which is so feared in words, ”- wrote Medvedev in the Telegram channel.

The deputy chairman added that such “peacekeepers” are “wolves in sheep’s clothing” and direct enemies of Russia. According to him, they will become a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces if they are placed on the front line without the consent of Moscow.

“And they will die in the course of hostilities. It remains only to clarify whether Europe is ready for a long line of coffins of its “peacekeepers”? Medvedev asked.

Former press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov named it is extremely dangerous to discuss in the European Union the topic of sending peacekeepers to Ukraine, if we are talking about serious negotiations. He noted that usually such forces in world practice are used with the consent of both parties.

March 31, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declaredthat the EU countries are close to discussing the topic of sending “troops of a certain peacekeeping type” to Ukraine. Orban called such a discussion a previously uncrossable border.

At the end of January, Orban said that Budapest was watching with concern the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army and was afraid that some of the EU countries would send troops there.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. In particular, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States and NATO are directly involved in this conflict, supplying weapons to the Ukrainian army and training military personnel.
