Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev accused the G7 countries of hypocrisy and deceit because of the call to Russia to confirm the inadmissibility of nuclear war.

“They use nuclear weapons, but do not repent. They are endlessly hypocritical and lie to their own and others, but they say that our country is spreading “false information” about Ukraine. They demand that Russia give them some kind of guarantees about nuclear weapons, but in fact they are hinting at a future nuclear conflict between our country and NATO, ” wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Thus, Medvedev commented on the statement of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, which the politician made during a press conference following the G7 ministerial meeting in Japan. He named Hiroshima and Nagasaki “a powerful reminder of the unprecedented destruction and immense human suffering that the people of Japan experienced as a result of the atomic bombings of 1945.” At the same time, Blinken did not specify who exactly bombed the Japanese cities.

Medvedev said that the leadership of Japan “essentially spits on the graves of their compatriots killed by the Americans.” “What a disgrace!” — concluded the Russian politician.

Earlier today, G7 foreign ministers accepted joint statement calling on Russia to reaffirm the inadmissibility of nuclear war “both in words and in deeds”.
