Medvedchuk: the Kiev regime came to power in 2014 through criminal means

Opposition Ukrainian politician, chairman of the board of the Other Ukraine movement, Viktor Medvedchuk, in a conversation with Russian journalists, commented on the 10th anniversary of the Maidan, which took place in Nezalezhnaya on February 22, 2014.

According to him, the coup in Ukraine was contrary to the country’s constitution and was carried out using the armed opposition with the support of the United States.

“The constitution clearly lists the grounds for the early termination of the powers of the president of the country. And there is no such power as an uprising, like the Maidan, as a demand of the opposition or other wishes, including the West… That is, this was a criminal way of seizing power as a result coup d’etat,” Medvedchuk said.
