Media: US airbase in Iraq came under fire

The US military air base of Ain al-Asad in the western province of Iraq Anbar came under fire, reported Reuters agency citing army sources.
The attack was said to have been carried out by Katyusha rockets, with one explosion heard inside the base. A day earlier, on October 21, two drones were intercepted near this military facility. The agency clarifies that American and other international forces are stationed at the base.
Earlier on October 19, the media also reported about drone and missile attacks on this and another US base near Baghdad airport. How clarified AP, several people were slightly injured in the attack.
The series of attacks on US bases came after Iraqi armed groups linked to Iran threatened to attack US installations if Washington intervened in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. clarifies Reuters.
