Media: The United States demanded an explanation from Israel over the attack on the Jabaliya camp

Biden administration officials this week demanded an explanation from the Israeli military over the strike on the Jabaliya refugee camp that left scores of Gazans injured. Politico reports this.
As reported, at least 195 people were killed in that strike, and 777 were injured. Israel called the incident a “tragedy of war.” At the same time, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) stated that the strike on Jebaliya could amount to a war crime.
According to Politico, citing an American official, the Biden administration asked Israel to detail the thinking and process of the recent strike on the Jabaliya refugee camp.
Administration officials urged Israel to ensure “precise targeting” to avoid harm to civilians, the official said.
“The US asked to explain the first [нападение] Jabaliya,” the official said, adding that the conversation was in the context of “asking Israel to do more to avoid civilian casualties.”
