Media: the head of Diesel may resign

The Italian fashion news media are reporting the imminent departure of Eraldo Poletto as CEO of design company Diesel. According to the publication Pambianco News, referring to confirmation in Diesel itself, Eraldo Poletto’s departure is due to “family circumstances” and the decision to “return to the United States.” Meanwhile, Diesel has not yet made official statements on this matter. The names of possible successors are also not named.

Eraldo Poletto was appointed CEO of Diesel as recently as May 2022. He replaced Massimo Piombini, who has been in charge of the company since February 2020. Prior to that, Poletto headed the American branch of Diesel and in general worked for about 30 years in the world of fashion and retail. His track record includes senior positions at Stuart Weitzman, Salvatore Ferragamo, Furla, Retail Brand Alliance.
