Media: Russia and Iran agreed to help victims in Israel

Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu agreed on joint assistance to victims in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. About it reports TASS with reference to the Tasnim agency.
During telephone conversations, the parties discussed the need for a ceasefire. Shoigu emphasized that the Russian initiative involved declaring a truce, but some Western countries in the UN Security Council prevented its adoption, the agency claims.
On October 19 it became known that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations sent 27 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. An Il-76 plane with flour, sugar, rice and pasta on board took off from the Ramenskoye airfield near Moscow to El-Arish airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The cargo will be handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
On October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched Operation Iron Swords. The Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war. The Israeli military regularly attacks Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. Former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz admittedthat fighting against Hamas could take months.
According to the latest data, over 3,400 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have died as a result of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
