Media: Israel strikes Aleppo airport again

The Israeli military again attacked the runway of Aleppo airport in Syria, it was disabled, transmits Al Mayadeen TV channel.

According to the TV channel, a total of two missiles were fired. As a result, no one was injured, but the airport suffered material damage.

Earlier on the morning of October 25, the Israeli army reported that the fighters inflicted strike on Syria’s military infrastructure. This happened in response to the launch of two missiles from Syria on October 24. As a result, they fell in an open area and no one was injured. Later, the Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed a night attack by Israel. According to the department, eight Syrian soldiers were killed and seven more were injured.

This is not the first strike carried out by the Israeli military on Syrian airports. In particular, on October 22, the Israeli army applied a missile strike on the airports of Damascus and Aleppo in Syria, resulting in facilities being disabled and one person killed. It turned out to be an employee of Damascus airport. Another person was injured. Another blow came on October 12.

Commenting on what happened, the Russian Foreign Ministry called attack on Syrian airports is a gross violation of Syrian sovereignty and basic international law. “The targets of attacks once again were such important civilian infrastructure in Syria as airports. Thus, the lives of innocent people and the safety of international air traffic were exposed to a real threat,” the department emphasized.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, when the Palestinian group Hamas began military operations against Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by launching Operation Iron Swords, striking hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war. As a result of the fighting, according to the latest data, about 8,000 people were killed, including more than 6,500 from the Gaza Strip.
