According to the Tribune newspaper, citing its sources, the French aerospace company Dassault Aviation would like to sell Rafale combat aircraft to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

According to the publication’s sources, the company has been actively studying two Central Asian countries for several months with which Paris wants to deepen bilateral relations.

One of the informants thinks that the prospect of a French company in Kazakhstan, in comparison with Uzbekistan, “seems much more distant.” Dassault Aviation employees responsible for exports are increasingly flying to Tashkent, the material notes.

In early November, Emmanuel Macron paid an official visit to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. However, the supply of combat aircraft was not reported in official press releases of the Elysee Palace. The purpose of his trips was to improve France’s energy security.
