Ukrainian media reported explosions in two regions of the country

Ukrainian media reported explosions in two regions of the country in the Kharkov region and Kyiv-controlled Kherson.

Earlier, an air raid alert was announced in the Odessa, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd and Poltava regions of Ukraine.

The Russian army began striking the infrastructure of Ukraine on October 10, 2022, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kyiv are announced virtually every day, and periodically this happens throughout the country.

Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI), said that attacks on critical infrastructure will make the winter very difficult for Ukraine. In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
