The press secretary of the Russian mission to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Aliya Zaripova, told Vedomosti that Russian diplomats are checking information in the media about the opening of the checkpoint.
Earlier today, the Palestinian group Hamas published lists of citizens who are allowed to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint. Among them are citizens of Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Finland, the Czech Republic and Japan. It was also reported that Palestinians with dual citizenship and employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and NGOs operating in Gaza will be able to leave Gaza. They were ordered to report to the checkpoint at 07:00 (08:00 Moscow time) on November 1.
