Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, made a visit to the White House before cocaine was discovered there, reported newspaper New York Post.
According to the newspaper, Hunter Biden was at the White House on the day of the discovery of an unknown powder that may be cocaine. At the same time, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, in an interview with The Washington Post declaredthat additional tests are being carried out to determine the composition of the found powder.
According to The Hill, the white powder after testing turned out to be cocaine.
The son of the current US president has already been featured in drug and corruption scandals. Federal charges were previously filed against Hunter following an investigation by Attorney David Weiss of Delaware.
The investigation itself was launched back in 2018 and initially focused on potential violations of tax and anti-money laundering laws in foreign business transactions, mainly in China. Attorney Weiss’ office said Hunter Biden received over $1.5 million in taxable income annually in 2017-2018. As a result, he made a deal with the investigation, confessing to non-payment of taxes. Representatives of the Republican Party criticized this deal, calling it too soft.
Earlier, Hunter Biden admitted that he suffered from drug addiction, which he wrote about in his book. At the same time, the scandal associated with the president’s son’s laptop does not subside in the United States either. During the repair, pictures and videos were found on it, in which Hunter uses drugs and is in the company of prostitutes. Republicans have been demanding law enforcement agencies to investigate this information for several years, but significant progress in this matter has not yet been observed.
