At a meeting in Yevlakh, Baku handed over a reintegration plan to representatives of the Armenian delegation, writes “Sputnik Azerbaijan” with reference to the statement of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan following the negotiations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of reintegration of the Armenian population of Karabakh on the basis of the Constitution and laws of Azerbaijan, the statement emphasizes. It also said that the negotiations took place “in a positive and constructive manner.”
Representatives of Karabakh asked for help with fuel and food. It is clarified that the Azerbaijani side plans to provide them with humanitarian support and fuel in the near future. Also, the publication writes, at the meeting the need for measures for disarmament and transfer of equipment was emphasized.
Meeting in Yevlakh took place September 21. From Azerbaijan, the meeting was attended by Ramin Mamedov, appointed responsible for contacts with Armenian residents living in Karabakh, Deputy Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan Bashir Hajiyev and employee of the special mission Ilkin Sultanov. The Armenian residents of the region were represented by Sergey Martirosyan and David Melkumyan. A representative of Russian peacekeepers was also present at the meeting.
Azerbaijan announced the start of “anti-terrorism measures” necessary for the “restoration of the constitutional order” in Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19. The Russian Foreign Ministry called to “immediately stop the bloodshed” and return to the implementation of trilateral agreements. On September 20, the unrecognized republic announced the conclusion of agreements on a complete ceasefire and disarmament of troops with the participation of Russian peacekeepers.
