McGregor: Ukraine conflict is a failed US attempt to destroy Russia

Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor in an interview with the Youtube channel Redacted said that the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict was a failed attempt by the West to destroy Russia.
According to him, Washington deliberately provoked Russian President Vladimir Putin into the Ukrainian conflict.
“Representatives of the White House were delighted when he entered the territory of Ukraine. This happened because Washington mistakenly assumed that this was their opportunity to destroy the Russian Federation,” McGregor said.
He clarified that the West had very seriously miscalculated, counting on the defeat of Moscow. In April, Kyiv’s Western allies dissuaded Zelensky from the idea of peace talks, when the Russian military changed strategy and went on the defensive.
Such actions on the part of the Russian army led to colossal losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
