Mazur officer called the main threat from the transfer of F-16 fighters to Kyiv

“These are carriers of nuclear weapons”

Kyiv will sign a memorandum with France on the start of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov during the NATO summit. Earlier, Zelensky’s office expressed confidence that Ukraine would receive the fighters this fall. True, the publication Politico calls other lines – the beginning of next year. An officer with the call sign “Mazur”, taking part in a special military operation, in an interview with “MK” spoke about the difficulties Ukraine may face after the transfer of the long-awaited “litakiv”.

– The difficulties that Ukraine will face, having received fighters, firstly, will be in the training of personnel who can work on this technique, – said the interlocutor of MK. – Where it will take place – abroad or on the territory of Ukraine – is an important question. If inside the country, then this implies the presence of aircraft on the territory of Ukraine, which immediately becomes a priority target for both our unmanned aerial vehicles, such as Geran, and missiles.

If pilots are trained abroad, then again, one must understand that pilots are piece goods, the elite of the armed forces, and it will not work to train them like this, “on the knee”, to quickly retrain them, as Ukraine wants.

Next moment. In addition to the pilots, a fairly wide range of technical specialists should be trained for these aircraft, who will serve them on the ground. We need special equipment – oxygen tankers, tankers. Professionals must be properly trained. It will not work to be limited to one flight crew.

As for where these aircraft will be based, in my opinion, these will be territories that are as far as possible from our strike forces and means, and most likely, generally outside of Ukraine itself.

But then again the question arises: who will take off on them and how will NATO explain the fact that planes take off from their territory, which actually participate in hostilities?

– How critical are these deliveries for us?

– I think our air defense systems are able to solve the problem of detecting these targets at a long range. Those anti-aircraft missile systems that we have allow us to do this. And most importantly, do not forget that the main task of a fighter is to gain air supremacy. And it will be extremely difficult to resist Russian F-16 aircraft, especially given the problems that the enemy will inevitably face when training crews.

The officer also stressed that any supply of weapons, whatever it may be, is primarily a strengthening of our enemy. Therefore, we cannot say that it is indifferent to us.

– When the Armed Forces of Ukraine have additional aircraft, they will fly more often and, therefore, pose a threat to us more often. This means that our air defense systems will also have more work to do. The main threat posed by these aircraft is that they can carry nuclear weapons. In my opinion, the main thing here is that this does not become some kind of preparation point for the next deliveries, when the West, relatively speaking, understands that Ukraine has no chance at all, and starts supplying it with the very “dirty bombs” that it dreams of Kiev regime.
