Governor Alikhanov: Poland’s renaming of Kaliningrad to Krulewiec should not be taken seriously
The governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, on the air of Rossiya 24, commented on the renaming of the name of the city of Kaliningrad to Krulevets in Poland.
“I’ll tell you honestly, I don’t react in any way to Polish verbal balancing act,” the politician said.
Alikhanov believes that “it is extremely difficult to take this seriously.”
He called “very unfortunate” the fact that “the Poles are becoming more and more frenzied, politicking, preaching terrible Russophobia.”
Alikhanov also said, “I’m afraid the Poles have forgotten the boomerang effect.”
He stressed that “of course, the Polish people would not really like to wish this, but, nevertheless, they can fly back.”
