Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk commented in interview News.ru statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that in 2024 the Ukrainian army will seek to isolate Crimea.
“Everything that Zelensky is saying now is nothing more than a political game,” the analyst said, adding that the Ukrainian leader is simply earning political points. In fact, Matviychuk believes that the Crimean issue has long been no longer relevant in the Ukrainian administration and the peninsula has long been forgotten.
From the point of view of military science, Matviychuk continued, in order for the Ukrainian army to be able to attack Crimea, it must have 400-500 aircraft, 1,500 tanks and 350 thousand trained military personnel.
“Of course, they don’t have such forces,” Matviychuk said, adding that therefore there will be no attack on Crimea.
