Mark “Furs Ekaterina” celebrates 110 years

The first fur salon, from which the Furs Ekaterina brand eventually grew, was founded in 1912 by the merchant Alexei Mikhailov. He also created the Fur Refrigerator – a building on Bolshaya Dmitrovka, where fur products are stored. In Soviet times, the Fur Refrigerator was nationalized and served not only as a store, but also as a place where fur products for export were created.

Now the refrigerator, as well as the brand behind it, is again in private hands – everything is managed by the owners of Fur Ekaterina, Ekaterina and Ilya Akhuzins. At the moment, the brand has the largest collection in Russia – it includes mink, fox, arctic fox, astrakhan fur, sable, marten, beaver, lynx and many others.
