French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said that at the moment there is no scheduled telephone conversation between French and Russian Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin. At the same time, she noted that a potential dialogue is possible.
“They have already talked in the past, and it was and remains useful,” the minister said.
According to her, the topic of a possible conversation could be an attempt by Paris “to limit the risks of nuclear incidents around civilian nuclear facilities.”
Earlier, the Kremlin stated that there were no official requests from the French side to hold a conversation between the presidents.
