The popularity rating of French President Emmanuel Macron fell sharply – by seven points in a month, the rating of Prime Minister Elisabeth Born fell by ten points.
These are the data of a survey conducted by the research and consulting center BVA, according to the newspaper Le Figaro.
36% of respondents now have a positive attitude towards Macron, and 41% towards Born. Such a result, the newspaper writes, is explained, in particular, by the negative reaction of the clear majority of the French to how the authorities are coping with the fuel crisis.
Of those surveyed, 71% believe that the government is not managing the crisis well. And 32% rate his actions as “very bad.”
Only 41% of French people believe that Macron is “capable of making the necessary decisions.” This means a drop of 12 points compared to March, according to the BVA. A decrease in the indicator was also noted in terms of his competence: 40% (8 points less).
