French President Emmanuel Macron hoped that the permanent members of the UN Security Council, as well as representatives of European countries, “will be part” of the negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. He spoke about this in an interview with the Financial Times and Nikkei Asia.
“The international community will also be at this table, and the members of the P5 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council), as well as the Europeans, will be part of this,” the French president said.
Macron also expressed hope that the Russian and Ukrainian sides would return to the negotiating table.
Earlier, the head of the French state called on the countries of the Asia-Pacific region to return Russia to the negotiations.
