On Friday, March 1, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation made changes to the register of individuals and legal entities recognized as foreign agents. Writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya* was recognized as a foreign agent and included in the corresponding list.
As the ministry noted, Ulitskaya* participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign agents and foreign media.
In addition, the writer opposed Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, in a conversation with pranksters who called Ulitskaya* on behalf of the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, the writer admitted that she directs part of her income to Ukraine, and also stated that she has a good attitude towards Vladimir Zelensky.
After this, the largest publishing house of the Russian Federation AST stopped payments Ulitskaya*. Following this, the Sovremennik Theater canceled the “Let’s Dance” performances based on the play by Lyudmila Ulitskaya*.
