Lukashenko spoke about the arrival of Prigozhin in Belarus

The founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin is in Belarus. This was announced by the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko during the ceremony of presenting shoulder straps to the highest officers.

“Yes, indeed, he is in Belarus today. As I promised, if you want to change corners with us for a while and so on, we will help you. Naturally, for their (Wagnerites. – Approx. ed.) account, ”- declared Lukashenka (quote from BelTA). He noted that the security guarantees that Russian President Vladimir Putin promised Prigozhin had been provided.

Lukashenka explained that the Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin said that he could use a unit like the Wagner PMC in the army. “I agree. Talk to them,” the Belarusian leader said.

At a meeting with Khrenin Lukashenka explainedthan “Wagner” will be useful to Belarus. According to him, the country will use the combat experience of PMCs. At the same time, Lukashenka urged not to be afraid of PMC detachments, since Minsk “keeps its eyes open.”

On June 24, Lukashenka participated in negotiations with Prigozhin, who attempted a military rebellion, took control of Rostov-on-Don and announced plans to move towards Moscow. Before that, he accused the Ministry of Defense of attacking the rear camps of the company. The Russian military department called the information about the strikes a provocation.

On the evening of June 24, following the results of negotiations, it became known that the Wagner would return to the rear camps, the criminal case against Prigozhin about a military mutiny would be dropped, and he would move to Belarus. On June 27, the FSB announced the termination of the criminal case.
