Lukashenka urged to destroy all nuclear weapons

All nuclear weapons in the world must be withdrawn from the countries where they are located and destroyed. Such a statement did President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in a conversation with journalist Pavel Zarubin, commenting on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron.

“I agree with him. Therefore, it is necessary to withdraw all American nuclear weapons from the five or six countries where they are located. In general, I am radical in this regard – I think that nuclear weapons should be brought together and destroyed for literally some time, ”he said.

Earlier today, French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference following his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing declaredthat Paris opposes the deployment of nuclear weapons in countries that do not belong to the owners of such weapons. The French leader also ruled out the possibility of using nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine.

March 25 Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on the completion of the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) in Belarus by July this year. The President noted that Moscow is not transferring nuclear weapons to Minsk, but is doing what the United States has been doing for many years – deploying tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of allies and training their pilots in handling them.

There is nothing unusual in the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in the republic, the Russian president pointed out, noting that the United States has been doing the same thing for decades: American nuclear weapons have been placed on the territory of NATO countries in Europe. Russia has already handed over to the republic the Iskander complex, which can be the carrier of such weapons.

Earlier today in the Kremlin declaredthat the deployment of nuclear weapons is caused by the expansion of the NATO presence at the Russian borders. On April 4, Finland joined the alliance.
