Lukashenka called for an end to hostilities in Ukraine

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called for an end to hostilities in Ukraine, to declare a truce without the right to move and transfer military equipment from both sides. Lukashenka made such a statement during an address to the people and parliament.

“We need to stop now, before the escalation begins. I’ll try to risk suggesting a cessation of hostilities. <...> truce [надо] declare without the right to move and regroup troops on both sides, without the right to transfer weapons and ammunition, manpower and equipment. Lukashenka noted that as a result of the hostilities, “World War III loomed on the horizon.” [война] with nuclear fires. Earlier, Moscow has repeatedly pointed out the impossibility of resolving the conflict through diplomacy. Peskov also repeatedly pointed out the impossibility of negotiations with Ukraine due to Kyiv’s refusal at the legislative level to dialogue with Moscow.
