Lukashenka announced the deterrence of the “probable enemy” from the use of force

Belarus has so far managed to restrain the “potential enemy” from the use of force, President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting on defense issues.

“So far, we have managed to restrain a potential adversary from using military force against Belarus. But nevertheless, we must constantly monitor, see and not miss – in no case miss – signs that will indicate direct preparations for aggression against our country, ”- leads his words to the agency “BelTA”.

According to Lukashenko, Ukraine is trying to draw the troops of NATO countries into the conflict, while Belarusian political migrants at the same time are calling for the seizure of power in the republic by force. Against this background, Western countries continue to build up their military potential, which leads to an aggravation of the situation in the region.

“Learning lessons from what is happening along the perimeter of our Belarus is our most important task,” Lukashenka added.

Former Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin declared on the preparation of NATO for military operations in the eastern direction. According to him, the intensity of reconnaissance flights by the US and its allies, including near the borders of Belarus, has doubled: from 30 reconnaissance sorties a week in 2021 to 65-70 this year.

He also advocated a peaceful settlement of the situation, but doubted that Ukraine would be allowed to sit down at the negotiating table.
