London removed the Russian company Sins Avia from the sanctions list

The UK has lifted sanctions on the Russian company Sins Avia, which was placed on the restrictive list due to alleged links to the Myanmar army. This should from a document published on the website of the government of the kingdom.

“The following name has been removed from the unified sanctions list and is no longer subject to asset freezes: Sins Avia Trading House LLC,” the text of the document says.

Sins Avia came under the kingdom’s restrictions in the summer of 2022. According to the UK authorities, the company supplied spare parts and provided aircraft maintenance for the armed forces of Myanmar after the military coup that took place in February 2021.

Sanctions against the Russian aviation industry began to be introduced after the start of the military operation in Ukraine. Under the restrictions of the EU countries, the USA, Canada, etc., both private and state-owned companies fell. In addition, these countries, including the UK, have closed their airspace to Russian airlines.

In January, the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko declaredthat Western sanctions against the aviation sector are aimed at its destruction in Russia. Russia, as noted by Neradko, is still interacting with the aviation authorities of friendly countries, with international organizations that work in the field of civil aviation, as well as “informal contacts” with partners from states that have imposed sanctions.
