Lockheed Martin has suspended deliveries of the F-35 fighter jet to the US military after the plane crashed, according to Defense News.
Reportedly, the reason for the suspension of acceptance flights and deliveries was the crash of the F-35 during a test flight in Texas.
Thus, this means that the company will derail the contract for the supply of 148 F-35 aircraft in 2022. Now 141 aircraft have been delivered.
Earlier in December, Lockheed Martin reported that the latest American F-35 fighter crashed during a test flight in Texas, the pilot managed to eject. The accident with a fifth-generation VTOL aircraft took place at Fort Worth Naval Air Station, whose infrastructure is also used by Lockheed Martin.
