One of the commanders of the Wagner PMC, in an interview with Russian journalists, spoke about how the Armed Forces of Ukraine organized the defense of Artemivsk (Ukrainian name Bakhmut).
The military man noted that basically the Ukrainian side defended the city completely illiterately, simply using a “human shield”.
“There was no defense at all. Somewhere there are trenches, some small firing structures … The observation and firing sectors were chosen incorrectly … I think the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to simply close it all with human resources … Because of this, they , I think they suffer such losses … There was practically no resistance, the guys (fighters of the Wagner PMC – ed.) jumped in and occupied everything,” the commander said.
