Retired lieutenant colonel, Candidate of Historical Sciences Oleg Ivannikov, who returned from the NVO zone, in an interview with URA.RU named a way to stop the shelling of Donetsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, the long-range weapons of the Ukrainian army will stop reaching targets if the Russian Armed Forces can move the front line 100-150 kilometers away.
Ivannikov said that Kyiv uses the tactics of “changing positions.” This tactic involves fighting from different locations, without giving the enemy the opportunity to predict the location of the next attack.
In this case, according to the lieutenant colonel, “there is only one panacea”: everything must be done “to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire front line to a distance where they cannot act in such a way as to destroy a peaceful city.”
On Friday, Ukrainian formations fired 20 rockets from the Grad MLRS into the Voroshilovsky district of Donetsk. The attack was carried out from positions in the village of Thin.
According to DPR Ombudsman Darya Morozova, during the week in the republic, 22 civilians were killed and sixty were injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
