In Moscow, the daily record for the amount of precipitation fell was broken. Leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, reported this on his Telegram channel. He noted that 10 mm of snow fell in the Russian capital in one day.

“In Moscow, the daily record for the amount of precipitation has been updated. In the entire history of weather observations in the capital, December 3 has never been so snowy,” the forecaster wrote.

According to him, the achieved figures exceeded by 0.6 mm those recorded in 1980.

He also emphasized that snow continues to fall in Moscow, so the value of the new record will be known only after 21:00 Moscow time.
