US Treasury: legal entities and individuals associated with Belarus are subject to sanctions
The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury (OFAC) added 12 legal entities and 10 individuals associated with Belarus to the sanctions list, according to an official statement on the website of the US Treasury Department.
The message clarifies that the measures were caused by the illegitimate, according to the United States, elections of the head of Belarus, as well as Alexander Lukashenko’s support for the Northern Military District.
The sanctions affected citizens of Belarus, Lebanon, Syria, Slovakia and Sweden. In addition, companies from Cyprus, Belarus, Iraq, China, Slovakia and Turkey were included in the “black list”.
