The publication notes that basically the training lasted from three weeks to two months, and regardless of whether the Ukrainians who arrived at the training ground had experience in combat operations, many of them “lacked tactics and organization.” “They attacked in packs and shouted a lot,” said a French officer.
He explained that the French instructors kept in touch with the Ukrainian military after graduation and learned from them that about 40 percent of the trainees had already died in battle.
